Jackson Heights Middle School

WELBRO recently completed renovations and additions to the Jackson Heights Middle School in Oviedo Florida. The project consists of three new buildings on the existing campus, the demolition of the existing building 05 administration building, the renovation of all the existing buildings to remain and associated site work to phase the work. A new central energy plant will service the entire campus. All existing buildings and new buildings will receive new fire alarm and intercom systems to provide an operational campus wide system.
New parking lots, site amenities, canopies, dumpster enclosure, basketball/tennis courts, security fencing, volleyball courts, softball field, track, bike racks and playfield represent many of the new features of the site.

The new buildings will be of block construction with structural steel floor and roof support. A brick cavity wall system is the majority of the exterior façade. The new classroom building will have extensive science classrooms at the core with instructional spaces around the perimeter of the two story building. The new single story administration building will have administration, a black box theater, band, chorus and media center as its major components.
