Warranty Manager

WELBRO Building Corporation has a career opportunity starting in 1st Quarter ’23 for a Warranty Manager in the Central Florida area. The individual will lead, execute, and continuously improve WELBRO’s warranty program.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the continuous quality control of a “close-out” system that integrates with warranty program.
  • Update warranty requests, log continuously, and monitor progress to ensure repairs are made on a timely basis.
  • Receive warranty requests and promptly pursue resolution to all.
  • Determine responsibility for cause of complaints through inquiry and analysis.
  • Specify means and methods for completing warranty repairs at a savings, whether in-house or by vendors.
  • Visit projects during construction as a means of becoming familiar with special features and systems of individual buildings and sites.
  • Serve as a quality assurance / quality control resource to ensure construction methodology complies with minimum standards to prevent water intrusion at the building envelope.
  • Identify reoccurring problem areas and recommend institution of preventative procedures.
  • Offer solutions to non-warranty issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous response to all warranty requests.
  • Promote outstanding relations with owner, subcontractors/vendors and WELBRO field staff.

Requirements:

 

  • Associates degree or equivalent years of technical training preferred but not required
  • Three (3) years experience in a lead building engineer role for a hotel/resort or commercial general contractor
  • Seven (7) years experience working on commercial building projects as a building engineer or in maintenance; hospitality experience required
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage field supervisors, craft employees, and subcontractors
  • Well-rounded knowledge in all aspects of construction, but in-depth expertise in commercial buildings, craft activities, cost control, scheduling, and safety
  • Thorough knowledge of construction practices essential (i.e., EIFS roof, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing).
  • Strong computer skills and good customer relations ability required.
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal (i.e., tact, diplomacy) and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey new ideas to others and function in a public relations capacity necessary.
  • Physical demands include occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
  • Employee will occasionally come into contact with air contamination such as dust, fumes, and smoke.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and adheres to all safety regulations and procedures.
