The Citrus County Emergency Operations Center is 40,000 SF and consists of three major components. One is an operations center communication hub for states of emergency which is utilized to convey to the public status and action plans during an event. The second is an enhanced 911 calling center to service the Citrus County area. The third is a sheriff's office component that also doubles as an area of safe haven for the elected officials of the Citrus County government. The entire building is hurricane hardened and provided with the appropriate infrastructure and redundant systems to provide functionality and comfort during a catastrophic event.
