DonahueFavret\WELBRO, LLC has been contracted to renovate the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Completion of the $108 million project is expected by the fall of 2011, long before the 2013 Super Bowl comes to New Orleans.
"The renovation of the Hyatt will be a milestone project for the city of New Orleans," said John Donahue, president and CEO of DonahueFavret Contractors. "We are delighted to be part of such a visible symbol of the city's recovery from Hurricane Katrina."
DonahueFavret\WELBRO is a corporation partnering local contractor DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. of Mandeville, La., and hospitality specialist WELBRO Building Corporation of Maitland, Fla.
DonahueFavret\WELBRO was selected as the general contractor in March 2009 and has performed pricing and preconstruction services while financing for the project was secured.
