WELBRO Building Corporation participated in the 2008 Rampage Event on Saturday, November 1st. In its fourth year, Rampage, an event organized by the Center for Independent Living, continues to bring independence and dignity to people with disabilities. This year, WELBRO volunteered the time and manpower to build a wheelchair ramp for one of CIL's clients.
The WELBRO associates who participated in this event were John Sfeir, Vice President of Operations and organizer of the project, Mitch Watters, Mike McMahan, Mike Brem, Mateo Vega, Troy Johnson, Lawrence Garcia, Mike Chambers, James Rose, Jose Vega, Joaquin Guzman. The WELBRO associates who volunteered their time as part of the Rampage Team, brought tears and smiles to Cynthia, the client, who no longer has to face many of the challenges she used to endure in getting in and out of her home due to the lack of accessibility with her wheelchair.
Materials for the project were donated by Mid-South Lumber Co., Beaver Door & Trim, Allied Fastener and Tool, HD Supply Construction Supply and Freedom Fire Protection of Central Florida.
