
April 2007, Orlando FL: The Associated General Contractors of Central Florida presented WELBRO Building Corporation with it’s 2007 Horizon Award for a construction project greater then $30 million for the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort project at it’s Annual Dinner and Horizon Awards Program on March 31, 2007.

Bruce Holmes, Executive Vice President of WELBRO, accepted the award on behalf of the WELBRO Team of Associates that worked on this magnificent project. Rosen Shingle Creek Resort opened September 9, 2006 and is one of the largest full-service convention resorts in Central Florida. The 230-acre resort offers 1,500 guest rooms and suites, and 445,000 square feet of dedicated, state-of-the-art meeting space that includes one of the nation’s largest column-free ballrooms at 95,000 square feet. The resort offers an array of amenities such as The Spa at Shingle Creek (a full-service, 13,000-square-foot spa with nine treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center), an 18- hole, par 72 (7,228 yard) championship golf course ranked one of the “Top 40 Best New Courses in the U.S.” by Golfweek Magazine (opened in December 2003), four outdoor swimming pools, two lighted tennis courts, basketball, seasonal canoe trips, nature trails, fishing, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and more.
