WELBRO Breaks Ground at the New Mascotte Elementary School

September 1, 2006, Orlando FL: WELBRO Building Corporation was recently awarded the contract to provide construction management services for Lake County Schools’ New Mascotte Elementary School. The Groundbreaking took place on Friday, August 25, 2006. In attendance were school board members, county officials, teachers, students, community leaders and local residents. It was quite a spectacular turnout.

The Mascotte Elementary School project consists of one (1) two-story building with 121,875 +/- gross square feet and 1,150 student stations. This project will be based upon the prototypical elementary school design of SchenkelShultz Architecture. The planned type of construction will consist of structural masonry with cavity space and brick exterior and low slope modified bitumen roof system. The project will also include significant site construction consisting of the drainage improvements, bus loop, parent drives, services drive, play fields, play courts, and parking.

Construction begins November 2006 with completion scheduled for December 2007.
